Because of a rapidly growing demand for injection moulding of plastic gears, Bengal Industries was established in 1981 as a separate company specifically to handle the production of such parts.

With the main base in Clearwater, Florida, Bengal Industries used the knowledge, experience, and skills gained from molding gears with engineering resins to expand into other markets that required precision molding, close tolerances, and high quality, and it has expanded its offerings as injection molders over the years to include virtually any custom product or part, as well as plastic gears.
